I will test later today on my cell phone from a remote site where I have to access from a different LAN than my home. I did it and tested the port with the tool and all 3 ports seem to be set up correctly. Next will be to provide capability of true remote operation via WAN I will need to change the port forwarding to enable remote and add the destination internet port: 68.:xxxx in my case. There are other idiosyncrasies as associated with other radios that are too deep into the weeds to go into. Also the 718 uses an 8 pin jack not a USB or phone-type connector so no physical connection to TX is not possible w/o special cable. The 718 also uses a programming cable instead of USB (I got mine from RT Systems in Colorado) that I had to get. Have u set up the ICOM IC-718 or the 7300? I have set up the 718 and had some bugs to deal with including the switching back and forth between frequencies problem discussed one of the online users manual and then problems getting audio (Mumble) to work. ![]()
